Following his last release, Pareidolia–an honest, internally-explorative reestablishment to creating music fit for a spring into the bereft void–DFRNTFRM returns with his freshest work titled Chest Full. The Pittsburgh-based Hip-Hop artist/Surface Level Records co-founder is once again “all-in with deuces” as he navigates the intersection of Pareidolia and Chest Full and the moments thereafter. A point in time satiated with optimism as a personally much-anticipated return to creating and performing comes to fruition. Then with little warning, boom! The World is ravaged by an unfamiliar virus, events are canceled, people are confined, and a gauntlet of unforeseen challenges are heaved upon all. Chest Full is a ride “shotgun” with DFRNTFRM as he navigates the unexpected, studies all that materializes, and confronts the reality of mortality. The album art is by Bob Freyer. The canvas of beats for DFRNTFRM to “verbally turn his thoughts in” are produced by himself, C.Scott, Skitzo Productions, Jumbled, and Billy Hoyle. ALYX Ryon appears on “Grip” as the albums’ only featured MC and long-time collaborator FTdub supplies the cuts and sample-work for the chorus on “Chest Full”—the opening title track. Chest Full will be released Friday, November 4th on Bandcamp and all streaming outlets. A cassette version of the album will be announced at a later date.
